Clean Brooklyn is a youth-led organization committed to creating a cleaner, healthier, and more beautiful environment in the neighborhoods we call home. Born out of a deep love for New York City and inspired by the cultural values of purity, health, and gratitude, our mission is to unite people in taking care of the streets we share.

About Us
We are Nami and Ani, two high school students, both daughters of immigrants, and proud residents of Brooklyn. Our families moved to New York, and this city quickly became our home. In our culture, cleanliness is not just a practice but a sign of respect, health, and beauty - a tradition deeply rooted in our upbringing.
While walking through neighborhoods like Brighton Beach, Sheepshead Bay, and Coney Island, we noticed the growing need for cleaner streets and realized that city officials couldn’t do it alone. That’s when we decided to take action.
Every Saturday, we gather friends, volunteers, and neighbors to clean the streets, parks, and public spaces we all share. For us, this is more than just picking up litter - it’s about building a stronger connection to the city we love and helping it shine.
